Nothing beats real hot chocolate on a chilly day. Share a cup or two with friends or family to get the most out of this cozy drink! Best of all, it’s flexible enough to adjust to personal taste. Extra whipped cream anyone?

  1. Combine unsweetened chocolate, Stevita, and ½ cup of the milk in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until just before boiling, stirring constantly.
  2. Stir in the remaining milk and continue cooking until heated through; keep it below boiling to avoid curdling.
  3. Remove from heat and serve hot in cups or mugs. Top with whipped cream as desired.

Variations

Hot Mocha

Prepare as directed and stir 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules into hot chocolate milk. 

Spiced Hot Chocolate

Prepare as directed and add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg into chocolate milk mixture.

 

Hot Cocoa

Prepare as directed, substituting 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder for the chocolate squares.
