Giving up sugar doesn’t mean giving up caramel flavor. This Butterscotch Sauce hits just the right note with its sweetness, perfect for vanilla ice cream and crêpes. Pour this over our Baked Flan (see index) for a sugar-free crème caramel!

  1. Combine apple juice, cornstarch, and Stevita in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly, whisking constantly.
  2. Continue cooking and stirring for 2 more minutes, then remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the unsalted butter, butterscotch extract, and vanilla extract.
